The restyling and renovation of the Cuneosolar Office building's facade, consist in realization of a new eternal cladding in aluminum and photovoltaic panels and the thermal requalification of the pre-cast concrete shell.

In fact the goals of the project are:
1. Give to the Company a new Corporate image and prestige;
2. Reduction of the energy use;
3. Durability.

One of the main ideas in the project is not only to provide an insulation layer sized to reach defined high-level performance, but also to create an energy offset by installing solar power source on-site, and specifically on the building's new facade.

In fact the aluminum façade cladding modules are alternate with cadmium telluride PV panels, specific for capturing also not direct sun-light.

Some some of windows are enlarged in height to increase the indoor natural light and to reduce the lighting energy load. Depending on orientation, operable sun-breaks, are positioned to improve the thermal input in winter and to reduce the cooling consume in summer.

The choice of the aluminum as a cladding material, instead of the less costly galvanized steel, is to comply with the durability requirement.
